Rockbox for sansa clip zip

I've just uploaded a couple of themes for the Sansa Clip Zip, which can be downloaded from the Rockbox site, if anyone is interested Joined Nov 27, Posts Likes Nice work TCD Joined Mar 12, Posts 10, Likes It might not be worth it now.

For some reason all of the Sansa Clip Zip themes have been removed from the Rockbox website not just mine - all of them. I've made another new theme but there are problems with the upload facility on Rockbox as well so I can't share it yet If Rockbox sort out the issues with their upload facility I'll upload it along with my first three themes and post new links here. Oh, and just a small warning And the Clip Zip screen isn't all that great - it doesn't have much contrast, so the themes don't look as good as they do when viewed on a PC screen.

Oh, interestingly enough the links I posted at the beginning of this thread are still working The themes were working perfectly well when they were uploaded but Rockbox have released a new patch in the past few days and it screw up quite a few of the Clip Zip themes Rockbox and the customizations are just cherry on top. On the FM Screen, the theme does not display RDS information it's too buggy in my region , but it will display any available preset information. In designing this I drew upon the work of many others, especially Ludovic Jakimon aka lebellium and Nick Peskett. It is intended to mimic the Original Firmware's UI. The volume control icon is based on the Futurosoft icon theme by Sergio Sanchez Lopez. The WPS panels' background color is adjustable through global theme settings, as well as WPS foreground color except for the progress bar and main font.

A reboot might be required to fully load the theme. Submitter: Tom Oehser Submitted: Downloaded times Description: Fairly straightforward minimalist text themes, but with a lot of information crammed in and sort of readable.

Status bar derived from the classic one, but with more fields. Please send feedback and suggestions to Tom Toms. NET These differ in font size and default colors, size of the progress bar and vu meters, etc. Tries to follow the "principle of least surprise".

All of these use only the colors and fonts in the. Comes with a couple of other fonts that will also fit. I also added an FM screen. Submitter: Jan Lakatos Submitted: Downloaded times Description: A spiritual successor to my "Slick" theme for the original Clip, designed with simplicity and good readability in mind. The statusbar includes play status, a hold switch indicator, time, battery level and an auto-hiding volume bar. The WPS includes basic track info and indicators for shuffle left and repeat right modes.

Install the Rockbox font-pack for proper functioning. Submitter: Joshua Sinclair Submitted: Downloaded times Description: Beta version, please rate accordingly! Designed for maximum information, elegance, and readability. All images are hand drawn. FMS and others coming soon. Long live the Zip! Press [submenu] to display full album art while in WPS. Many new features add to make it bi-focal large and small fonts displays.

Submitter: Nick Peskett Submitted: Downloaded times Description: Full theme based around anti-aliasing and an attempt at simplicity. No album-art support, just not worth it at this resolution, IMO.

Submitter: Bryan Roessler Submitted: Downloaded times Description: Designed for beauty, functionality, and simplicity with just a touch of color where necessary.

I highly recommend turning scrollbars and icons off. Features the gorgeous pre-AA Sansation fonts from Sahand Nasr Ekaran and the global status bar images from Ludovic Jakimon lebellium Samsung-like with some modifications. Only requires the fontpack for the standard Rockbox menu font.

All other fonts are included. Most of the screens are the same. Some screens have been changed to accommodate larger fonts. Menu browser was design for 27 size fonts default is Reboot after installing and removing. Require font set. The default colors are white on black. You can also use a background image of your choice. Doppelfont is based on GNU Unifont. Submitter: Johannes Voggenthaler Submitted: Downloaded times Description: I like CabbieV2 better with Helvetica, as I think it's easier to read with it's wider line spacing.

Made the album art a tad bigger and moved it a little, next track line is now left of the art instead of below it. Redid the graphics in 24bit, too. The backdrop just looks a lot smoother when Rockbox dithers it down to the 16bits the screen will display.

The WPS screen displays the battery level, the sound volume, the play mode play, stop, fast forward, fast backward a progress bar and a vu meter. Hope you'll enjoy it! Submitter: Sahand Nasr Submitted: Downloaded times Description: This theme's main goal is maximizing "simplicity" and "readability" as much as possible on a 96x96 display. Album Art is omitted because it takes most of the space and won't look good on such a tiny device anyway.

All fonts are included in the package and all are pre-anti-aliased. Submitter: Anton Rychkov Submitted: Downloaded times Description: I took the brilliant "lebellium" theme, and tweaked it a bit to use larger fonts icons are disabled. All credit goes to the original author, Ludovic Jakimon. Slightly modified background for a smoother gradient and white text. Tweaks here and there. Tip: You can see bitrate, volume, and time by changing the volume.

It incorporates the improved battery display of the Accurate Battery Edition, while maintaining compatibility with the 12 hour clock user configurable through Rockbox settings menu. Original code was written by Ludovic Jakimon, I just moved things around a bit to fit the 12 hour clock display, and used the clock display code from the non-ABE version.

Otherwise this is simply a color variant. Changes for v1. This fixed a bug that caused the clock display to sometimes shift its position. Also includes all fixes from 1. Thanks to lebellium for all the help in getting these issues sorted out, and for the fantastic themes that this is based on.

It's a fix of the existing one. My apologies. I didn't realise the time elapsed was showing as time remaining. Now it's fixed. Check out the battery charging animation. In fact, all the Animations. It has been in development since and receives new features, tweaks and fixes every day to provide you with the best possible music listening experience.

Quote: h20fidelity said:. Click to expand Joined Dec 9, Posts 27 Likes It is great firmware with more options than the Sansa firmware. I don't know if the above is supported with Clip Zip-Rockbox.. One thing with Rockbox that I haven't figured it out is when I choose to play by Artist and choose all tracks, it plays songs from all albums in alphabetical order.

I want to play the songs by album and based on the original song order. Does anyone know how I can do this? Joined Mar 17, Posts Likes Location usa. Quote: walaoeh said:. I'll wait for more responses before I take the leap of faith, and rockbox my clip zip. Joined Feb 15, Posts 12 Likes 0.
